Eugene Hit-and-Run Suspect Arrested After Standoff at Gardiner Home
A man sought in a July hit-and-run that seriously injured a pedestrian in Eugene was arrested Monday after a standoff at a Gardiner home, according to the Douglas County Sheriff’s Office.
Riddle Teen Identified in Fatal Myrtle Creek Stabbing
Authorities have identified 17-year-old Robert Rosser of Riddle as the teen killed in a Sept. 13 stabbing in Myrtle Creek. A second teen, who was critically injured, is now in stable condition. The investigation remains ongoing.
Roseburg High School Agriculture Teacher Named Douglas Regional Teacher of the Year
Roseburg High School agriculture science and forestry teacher Cailey Powell has been named the 2026-27 Douglas Regional Teacher of the Year. She is one of 17 regional honorees and a semifinalist for Oregon Teacher of the Year.
