Gilberto’s Mexican Restaurant in Roseburg will permanently close May 15 after more than four decades in business. The Duarte family announced that Gilberto Sr. is retiring, marking the end of a longtime local family restaurant on NE Stephens Street.

Wingstop signage has gone up at 2034 NW Stewart Parkway in Roseburg, where Douglas County permit records list tenant improvement work, wall signs, and a walk-in installation for the restaurant. An opening date has not been announced.

Southern Oregon Goodwill says its Roseburg store is moving later this year to the former Rite Aid site at 1430 NW Garden Valley Blvd. The organization said the store is not closing, but relocating to a larger space.

Redbarn Dispensary has opened at 161 N. Main St., becoming the first marijuana dispensary within Winston city limits. The opening follows Winston’s 2025 ordinance change allowing recreational marijuana facilities after years of local debate.
