ROSEBURG, Ore. - A planned road closure on West Old Melrose Road has been pushed back one day due to project delays, according to the City of Roseburg.
The 900 block of West Old Melrose Road will now be closed from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Friday, November 6. The closure was originally scheduled for Thursday, November 5.
During the closure, crews will remove an underground sewer bypass that was previously installed as part of work serving the Roseburg Urban Sanitary Authority (RUSA) wastewater treatment plant.
Detour signs and routes will be in place while crews complete the work. Drivers traveling through the area are encouraged to use alternate routes, plan for additional travel time and watch for workers and equipment near the roadway.
City officials said the schedule remains subject to change depending on weather conditions or other unexpected delays. Additional updates will be provided if the closure plans change.
