Jay Austin Copenhaver, 60, was lodged after police said he was contacted under the Jackson Street Bridge while excluded from the downtown area

Details: Copenhaver was contacted bundled up in a blanket, next to a small campfire, under the Jackson Street Bridge. Camping is never allowed at this location due to its proximity to Deer Creek. A records check revealed Copenhaver was excluded from the downtown area, which includes the Jackson Street Bridge.
Disposition: Copenhaver was transported to Douglas County Corrections, where he was lodged on the charge of Criminal Trespass II. He was also cited for Prohibited Camping and Prohibited Burning.

Details: Officers found Colt inside his tent at Deer Creek Park, which was surrounded by garbage. Colt was detained and was found to have two sets of brass knuckles and two daggers on his person. Police said Colt also had two active warrants and that officers had probable cause to arrest him in connection with an ongoing fraud investigation.

Details: Officers responded to the location following a report of two individuals engaging in oral intercourse. Officers contacted witnesses who said the suspects were leaving in a gray Lincoln. Officers located the vehicle and conducted a traffic stop after observing a traffic violation. The driver, James Hunter, was found to be operating the vehicle without a valid operator's license and was cited. Abigail Hunter and Nathan Miller admitted to engaging in the reported conduct and were cited and released. Officers were later dispatched back to the area after a report that Miller broke James Hunter's windshield following a verbal altercation. Police said Miller admitted to causing the damage and was taken into custody.
Disposition: The vehicle was left legally parked. Abigail Hunter was cited and released. Nathan Miller was lodged at Douglas County Corrections.
Traffic Crash
Joshua Leo Aaron Fratz, 31, was cited after police said he admitted to driving uninsured and hitting another vehicle while pulling out of Champion Plaza

Details: Officers responded to a report of a non-injury traffic crash near the location. Fratz admitted to driving uninsured in V1 and said he hit V2 while pulling out of Champion Plaza at 250 NE Garden Valley Blvd. Barbero said she was traveling northbound in V2 on NE Airport Road when she was hit by V1. The roadway was cleared, and both drivers said they would handle their own tows.
Disposition: Fratz was cited and released.
Hit and Run
Martin Katz, 77, was cited after police said he admitted to hitting a vehicle in a parking lot and leaving without exchanging information

Details: Officers contacted Katz at his residence after his vehicle was reportedly involved in a hit and run at the location. Katz was the owner of the vehicle and admitted to hitting V1 in the parking lot and leaving the scene without exchanging information or trying to do so. V1 was inoperable after the incident, and Shipley arranged for his own tow.
Disposition: Katz was cited and released for Failure to Perform Duties of a Driver.
Assault
Jason Tyler Bergold, 31, was lodged after police said a physical disturbance left a woman injured by a ceiling fan blade

Details: Officers contacted Lake, who disclosed that she and Bergold had gotten into a physical disturbance at their residence. Lake stated that Bergold and she had been arguing and that, at one point, Bergold put Lake on his shoulders and lifted her up to a spinning ceiling fan. One fan blade hit Lake in the left temple, causing a goose egg and a laceration that bled for multiple hours. Bergold stated that the incident was an accident.
Disposition: Bergold was lodged at Corrections.

Isaiah L. Irvin, 40, was lodged after police said he was contacted on NW Garden Valley Boulevard and found to have an active warrant
