The Roseburg Warming Center will be open Saturday night, Dec. 27, at St. Joseph’s Gymnasium. Check-in begins at 5:30 p.m. with overnight shelter, meals, and limited pet accommodations available.

Tubing at Diamond Lake Resort is canceled this weekend due to low snow levels. Only about 5 inches of snow has fallen, and at least 2 feet is needed for safe tubing. Visitors may still bring their own sleds and enjoy the snow for free.

Roseburg Disposal Co. will offer free Christmas tree recycling from December 29 through January 12, with drop off locations available throughout Roseburg and surrounding areas.
Roseburg Man Jumps From Moving Car to Evade Police, Arrested
Roseburg police arrested a man wanted in a violent robbery after he jumped from a moving car in an attempt to escape officers. A police K-9 helped track him down. He now faces multiple felony charges in Douglas County.
