Winston Police Arrest 19-Year-Old in Connection With Alleged Drive-By Shooting
A 19-year-old Wilbur man has been arrested following a Winston Police investigation into an alleged drive-by shooting reported in January. Officers executed search warrants, seized a firearm, and lodged the suspect in the Douglas County Jail on multiple charges.

A college founded by the inventor of the modern service dog is now based in Canyonville. Bergin College of Canine Studies trains service dogs for those in need, including Veterans, and is seeking local volunteers to help raise puppies now entering training.
Roseburg Man Charged With First-Degree Arson After Reported Gas Leak at Apartment
A Roseburg man was arrested on arson charges following a January incident involving a reported natural gas leak at an apartment on SE Kane Street. Investigators say fire damage was found near a kitchen range and a gas line had been removed.

Roseburg Police handled dozens of incidents between Jan. 30 and Feb. 2, including arrests for warrants, DUII, theft, probation violations, prohibited camping, and disorderly conduct. Several citations and custodial bookings were reported across the city.
