Builder Sues Over Unfinished Senior Living Projects
A Sutherlin builder is suing the parent companies behind unfinished senior living projects in Roseburg and Creswell, claiming nearly $3 million in unpaid work. Dan Van Acker of Mars Construction alleges breach of contract and seeks foreclosure on the properties to recover costs.

Roseburg Man Arrested on Felony Assault Charge
Roseburg Police arrested Justin Jones early Saturday on felony assault charges after he allegedly admitted to kicking a woman in the ribs. The victim reported difficulty breathing and feared broken ribs. Jones is held without bail at Douglas County Corrections.
