Wander Cafe Announces Permanent Closure in Roseburg

ROSEBURG, Ore. - Wander Cafe has announced it will permanently close, with the family behind the Roseburg business saying a series of major personal changes has made it increasingly difficult to continue operating the cafe. The business was located at 1813 W Harvard Ave. Ste 401 in Roseburg.

The announcement was shared Friday by Jessica, Jesse and Jayden, who said their family has faced multiple life-changing events, including circumstances that now require one family member to depend heavily on the others.

They said those responsibilities, combined with the demands of running a small business, ultimately led to the decision to close.

"Running a cafe, even one as small as ours, is still a 24-hour job for all of us," the family wrote.

Wander Cafe became known for its creative food and drink offerings and its focus on bringing flavors and inspiration from different places to the Roseburg community.

Although the cafe itself is closing, the family said customers may still see Wander Cafe from time to time at special events, including the Renaissance festival.

In their announcement, the owners thanked the community for supporting the business and the idea behind it.

"We wanted to bring a little bit of everywhere a little closer to everyone," they wrote. "We're grateful to all those that have supported us."

The family also shared a donation link for those who would like to help provide temporary financial relief as they make the transition away from the cafe.

A specific final day of business was not announced.
