UCC to Celebrate Class of 2026 Friday Evening
Umpqua Community College will celebrate its Class of 2026 Friday evening, with 1,798 students earning degrees, certificates and credentials, a 26 percent increase over last year.
Umpqua Community College will celebrate its Class of 2026 on Friday, June 12, with a commencement ceremony at the Swanson Amphitheater in Roseburg.
The ceremony begins at 6 p.m. and will be held rain or shine. It is open to the public.
This year’s graduating class includes 1,798 students earning degrees, certificates, pathway certificates, apprenticeship certifications and industry-recognized credentials. According to UCC, that marks a 26 percent increase over 2025.
About 260 students are expected to take part in Friday’s commencement ceremony. The college will also recognize 373 first-generation graduates.
The Class of 2026 includes students completing programs tied to several workforce needs in Douglas County and across Oregon. UCC said this year’s graduates include 126 allied health professionals, including 54 registered nurses, along with 19 welding students, 68 students earning computer science-related certificates and 159 graduates in business and retail management programs.
The college also trained 53 commercial truck drivers, 27 pharmacy technicians and 188 wildland firefighters.
Students will also be recognized for industry credentials earned through Career Academy and NC3 programs, along with apprenticeship certifications and career and technical education certificates designed to help students move directly into employment or advance in their careers.
Aden Bliss will serve as the commencement speaker.
The ceremony will be held at the UCC Swanson Amphitheater, 1140 Umpqua College Road in Roseburg.
