ROSEBURG, Ore. - The Art Gallery at Umpqua Community College will showcase work by three members of the college’s visual arts faculty this fall.

The exhibition, featuring artists Jon Hoffman, Greg Price and Brian Willett, will run from Sept. 14 through Oct. 14 in the Whipple Fine Arts Center. The gallery is open from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday through Friday.

The exhibition gives visitors a chance to see work created by faculty members who continue their own artistic practices while teaching UCC students.

“All of the faculty in visual arts at Umpqua Community College are active and practicing artists,” Hoffman said. “It is important to show our students that we practice what we teach.”

A free public reception and artist talk is scheduled for Thursday, Sept. 24, from 5 to 6:30 p.m. Attendees will be able to meet the artists and learn more about their work and creative processes.

Admission to both the exhibition and reception is free.

The UCC Art Gallery is located inside the Whipple Fine Arts Center at 1140 Umpqua College Road in Roseburg. The gallery presents six exhibitions each year featuring work in a variety of media by emerging and established artists.
