Old Melrose Road Daytime Closures Extended Through Oct. 27
Daytime closures on Old Melrose Road will continue Oct. 26-27 for sewer work serving the RUSA wastewater treatment plant. The affected section will close from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. each day, with access maintained for local residents.
ROSEBURG, Ore. - A section of Old Melrose Road will close during the day Monday, Oct. 26, and Tuesday, Oct. 27, as contractors continue sanitary sewer work serving the Roseburg Urban Sanitary Authority’s wastewater treatment plant.
The road will be closed from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. each day immediately north of West Goedeck Avenue toward Harvard Avenue. Local residents will be allowed access to their properties.
Contractors requested the additional closures to give Allied Trenchless more time to remove an underground bypass and replace sewer services associated with the project.
Detour signs will remain in place. Motorists should use alternate routes, allow extra travel time and drive cautiously near crews and equipment.
Work schedules are subject to change. The city said it will provide updates as more information becomes available.
