Con-Vey President Jeremy Goebel Named to Wood Industry 40 Under 40 Class of 2026

ROSEBURG, Ore. - Con-Vey President Jeremy Goebel has been named to Woodworking Network’s Wood Industry 40 Under 40 Class of 2026, recognizing his leadership and contributions to the wood products manufacturing industry.

Goebel was formally recognized Tuesday, Aug. 25, during Woodworking Network’s Leadership Reception at the International Woodworking Fair in Atlanta.

The annual 40 Under 40 program recognizes professionals who are helping shape the future of the North American woodworking industry through areas including leadership, innovation, product development, productivity and organizational growth. The 2026 class marks the 11th year of the program, with nearly 100 nominations submitted from across the industry.

Goebel joined Roseburg-based Con-Vey in 2013 as a sales representative and worked his way through several leadership positions, including sales manager and vice president, before becoming company president.

Woodworking Network highlighted Goebel's work solving manufacturing challenges and his involvement in the development of Con-Vey's Edge-Damming System, an automated system designed for plywood panel repair.

Goebel spearheaded the patent process for the technology, helping move the system from an idea into a commercially used product. The system has since received industry recognition, including another major honor this week in Atlanta.

Con-Vey's Edge-Damming System was named one of seven winners of the 2026 IWF Challengers Distinguished Achievement Award. The system was selected from 20 finalists, which were narrowed down from 84 submissions representing 65 companies.

The Edge-Damming System is designed to allow cut-to-size plywood panels to be repaired while continuing through a production line. The technology uses a coated steel belt to seal routed panel edges and induction heating to cure repairs in-line, with the goal of reducing waste and labor while maintaining production speeds.

The two recognitions make for a notable week for the Roseburg company, with both its president and one of its recently developed technologies receiving national industry honors at IWF.

Con-Vey is an industrial automation and equipment manufacturer headquartered in Roseburg. The company traces its history to 1946 and today develops material handling, robotics and other automated manufacturing systems for customers in the wood products and other industries.
