Warmer Weather On The Way For Roseburg
Warmer weather is on the way for Roseburg, with highs expected to climb from around 70 today to the upper 70s Thursday and near 83 by Sunday before shower chances return early next week.
ROSEBURG, Ore. — Warmer weather is on the way for Roseburg as the Umpqua Basin heads toward a sunnier and warmer stretch through the weekend.
The National Weather Service in Medford said upper-level ridging is building into the region, bringing above-normal warmth through late week. Forecasters said areas of low clouds or fog may linger in portions of the Umpqua Basin during the morning, but sunshine is expected to return through the day.
Roseburg is forecast to reach a high near 70 today, followed by warmer conditions Thursday with a high near 77. Friday is expected to be partly sunny with a high near 74, before temperatures climb again over the weekend.

- Today: Patchy fog before 8 a.m. Otherwise, sunny, with a high near 70.
- Tonight: Patchy fog after 2 a.m. Otherwise, increasing clouds, with a low around 43.
- Thursday: Patchy fog before 8 a.m. Otherwise, mostly sunny, with a high near 77.
- Thursday Night: Mostly clear, with a low around 46.
- Friday: Partly sunny, with a high near 74.
- Saturday: Mostly cloudy, with a high near 76.

Forecasters said above-normal temperatures are likely to continue into the weekend before a more active weather pattern develops. Shower and thunderstorm chances are expected to increase Friday and Saturday, then peak Sunday into Monday as a weather system moves onshore into California.
The Weather Service also reminded residents that even as air temperatures warm, area waterways remain cold this time of year, with water temperatures generally in the upper 40s and 50s. Forecasters encouraged people to wear life jackets, avoid swimming alone, and keep a flotation device nearby when recreating around the water.
