Warm Weekend Ahead For Roseburg, With Slight Shower And Thunderstorm Chances

Roseburg is heading into a warmer weekend, with mostly cloudy conditions Friday giving way to a sunnier and much warmer Sunday.

The National Weather Service forecast calls for a high near 70 degrees Friday, with calm wind becoming northwest at 5 to 9 mph during the afternoon. Friday night brings a 30% chance of showers, mainly after 2 a.m., with mostly cloudy skies and a low around 50.

Saturday is expected to start cloudy before gradually becoming mostly sunny. The high is forecast near 73 degrees, with a 20% chance of showers. Winds should remain light, becoming north around 5 mph in the afternoon.

The warmest day of the weekend is expected Sunday, when Roseburg could reach a high near 84 degrees under mostly sunny skies. There is a slight chance of thunderstorms after 5 p.m., with the chance of precipitation around 10%.

Sunday night remains partly cloudy, with a low around 53. A slight chance of showers and thunderstorms is possible before 8 p.m., followed by a slight chance of showers between 8 p.m. and 11 p.m.

The National Weather Service Medford office said the thunderstorm potential continues through the weekend into Monday, with the highest chances generally near the Cascades, Northern California, and portions of southern Oregon. Forecasters said Roseburg’s thunderstorm chances are lower than areas farther south and east, but isolated activity remains possible.
