Umpqua Woofstock Brings Dogs, Families and a Bigger Mission to Sutherlin
Umpqua Woofstock brought dogs, families, vendors and a bigger mission to Sutherlin, helping raise support for affordable vaccine clinics and basic pet care for local animals.
SUTHERLIN, Ore. — Umpqua Woofstock brought dogs, families, vendors and animal lovers together in Sutherlin, but for organizers, the event is about more than a fun day outside.
During a video interview with The Roseburg Plug, Theresa “Tree” Call, one of the organizers behind Umpqua Woofstock, said the festival helps support a larger mission: making basic pet care more affordable and accessible for local families.

Call said Umpqua Woofstock is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit that raises money to host discount vaccine clinics with help from For Love of Paws.
“We want people to be able to get vaccines at a low rate and a free exam,” Call said during the interview.
She said the clinics also help pet owners get connected with a veterinarian, which can be difficult for many families.
“They also get established with a vet, which is another issue,” Call said. “Getting into a vet and being established is a big problem.”
The organization hosts multiple fundraisers and events throughout the year. Call said Umpqua Woofstock holds a Halloween vaccine clinic in October, recently hosted its first spring fair, and started a Christmas Bazaar fundraiser last year.
Those fundraising efforts help support discount vaccine clinics in March in Myrtle Creek and October in Sutherlin.
Call said the number of pets served has continued to grow. At the March clinic, she said the group helped nearly 100 pets, up from around 60 the year before. Organizers expect similar or higher numbers at the October clinic as more people return each year to keep their animals on schedule.
For Call, the motivation comes from the community and the volunteers who help make the work possible.
“The community, people. I love it,” she said. “I have a great board that stands behind me 100%.”
Call said the organization has grown significantly since 2022, expanding from a smaller effort into more events, more fundraising and more help for local pet owners.
“It’s 100% my heart,” she said. “My board members, they’re amazing. My volunteers, they show up.”
Community members who want to support Umpqua Woofstock can find the organization on Facebook or visit UmpquaWoofstock.net. Call said the website includes a donation page, along with contact information for anyone who wants to learn more.
The 2026 Umpqua Woofstock Festival included dog contests, vendors, educational speakers, a silent auction, a 50/50 drawing and family-friendly activities. Admission was free for spectators, with dog contest entry available for $5 per dog.
