Tim Freeman Selected As New Chair Of DINT Advisory Board
Douglas County Commissioner Tim Freeman has been selected as the new chair of the Douglas Interagency Narcotics Team Advisory Board. DINT also thanked Roseburg Police Captain Jeremy Sanders for his leadership during the past year.
ROSEBURG, Ore. — The Douglas Interagency Narcotics Team Advisory Board has selected Douglas County Commissioner Tim Freeman to serve as its new board chair.
DINT announced the selection in a Thursday release, saying Freeman was nominated and unanimously chosen by the advisory board this week.
The Douglas Interagency Narcotics Team, commonly known as DINT, is a long-running interagency narcotics task force serving Douglas County. The team was established in 1989 and has remained in operation since then, using a collaborative model that brings together personnel, resources and expertise from multiple agencies.
Partner agencies involved with DINT include:
- Douglas County Sheriff’s Office
- Douglas County District Attorney’s Office
- Roseburg Police Department
- Oregon National Guard
- Oregon State Police
- Bureau of Land Management
The advisory board is made up of Douglas County Sheriff John Hanlin, Douglas County Commissioner Tim Freeman, Douglas County District Attorney Rick Wesenberg, Roseburg Police Captain Jeremy Sanders and Oregon State Police Roseburg Area Command Lt. Jim Andrews.
DINT also receives funding support from the Oregon-Idaho High Intensity Drug Trafficking Area program and the Oregon Criminal Justice Commission.
In the release, DINT also recognized Roseburg Police Captain Jeremy Sanders for his leadership and contributions while serving as chair of the board during the past year.
