Three Douglas County Organizations Receive Pacific Power Foundation Education Grants

Three Douglas County nonprofit organizations are among the latest recipients of grants from the Pacific Power Foundation, which awarded more than $343,000 to groups supporting education and STEM programs across the region.

Glide Revitalization, Umpqua Valley Farm to School, and the Winston Area Community Partnership were selected during the foundation’s most recent Education and STEM grant cycle.

The three local organizations were included among 93 grant recipients in Oregon, Washington and California. Pacific Power said the funding will support projects that strengthen literacy, prepare students for future careers and provide opportunities to develop practical skills.

“When we invest in organizations that provide STEM and education opportunities, we’re investing in the future of our communities,” Pacific Power Foundation Director and Pacific Power President Ryan Flynn said. “These programs provide meaningful hands-on experiences that can change a student’s trajectory.”

The announcement did not provide the individual grant amount awarded to each Douglas County organization.

The Pacific Power Foundation distributes grants during several funding cycles throughout the year. Applications for its next Arts and Culture grant cycle are due Sept. 15, 2026.

The foundation was established by PacifiCorp in 1988 and supports nonprofit organizations in communities served by Pacific Power and Rocky Mountain Power. It has awarded more than $80 million to nonprofit organizations since its creation.
