The Roseburg Receiver and The Roseburg Plug Plan Monthly Print Publication, “The Signal”

The Roseburg Receiver and The Roseburg Plug are planning a monthly print publication called The Signal, bringing local news, events, and community information to readers across Douglas County.

The planned publication will include news, business information, local art, crossword puzzles, and coupons. The two outlets are inviting residents to help shape what goes into its pages and asking businesses and community members to support the effort.

The project builds on feedback received as The Roseburg Receiver and The Roseburg Plug have grown. Readers have shared ideas about what they would like to see locally, and The Signal is an opportunity to bring some of those suggestions into print.

Local artists and businesses are part of that vision, too. Alongside news and upcoming events, the publication is intended to feature creative work from the community and give businesses another way to reach Douglas County residents.

Funding will be needed to get the publication started and sustain it. Printing and distributing a monthly edition brings ongoing expenses, with paid subscriptions, advertising, and sponsorships planned to help cover those costs.

A community suggestion form will also be shared, giving readers a way to tell the organizers what they want to see in The Signal. That feedback will help shape the publication’s content as plans develop.
