Roseburg Seeks Volunteers For Homeless Commission And Planning Commission

ROSEBURG, Ore. — The City of Roseburg is looking for community members interested in serving on two city advisory commissions.

Applications are now being accepted for vacancies on the Homeless Commission and the Planning Commission. Both groups serve in an advisory role to the Roseburg City Council by reviewing information, discussing local issues and offering recommendations. The commissions do not establish city policy.

The Planning Commission reviews land use and development matters, including development projects and issues that may later go before the City Council. The commission currently has two vacancies, according to the city’s commission page.

The Homeless Commission advises the council on homelessness-related issues and community needs. The commission currently has one vacancy, according to the city. Applicants for the Homeless Commission must live or work within the Roseburg School District.

Applications are available through the City of Roseburg website under the commissions section, or in person at the City Administration Office at Roseburg City Hall, 900 SE Douglas Avenue. Completed applications may be emailed to info@roseburgor.gov or delivered to the City Administration Office. Questions about the Homeless Commission application can be directed to 541-492-6866.
