Roseburg Police Arrest Woman After Reported Bomb Threat
Roseburg police arrested a woman Monday night after officers responded to a reported shooting on SE Stephens Street and said she caused public alarm by yelling about a bomb.
Roseburg police arrested a woman Monday night after officers responded to a reported shooting at 805 SE Stephens Street.
According to police, officers arrived around 8:24 p.m. on June 8 and found 36-year-old Lisa Marie Gates of Roseburg on top of the building screaming. Continued reports indicated Gates had stated there was a bomb in the building and that gas had been turned on by a male who intended to blow up the building.
Police said Gates was erratic and appeared to be under the influence. Officers spoke with witnesses who reported seeing Gates in the hallway yelling and mentioning a bomb.
Police said Gates caused substantial public alarm and was taken into custody. She was lodged at Corrections on a charge of first-degree disorderly conduct.
