Roseburg Forecast Cools Down After Stretch of Hot Weather
Roseburg is cooling down after several hot days, with highs in the mid-80s through the end of the week. Fire weather concerns remain Thursday, and thunderstorm chances are expected mainly south and east of the area.
ROSEBURG, Ore. — After several hot days across the area, Roseburg is finally getting a bit of a break.
The National Weather Service says Wednesday will be sunny, with a high near 84 degrees. North winds are expected at 8 to 16 mph, with gusts up to 23 mph. Clouds will increase tonight, with a low around 56.
Thursday will still be warm, but not as hot as earlier this week. Roseburg is expected to reach about 87 degrees, with light winds becoming north-northwest in the morning. Thursday night should be mostly clear, with a low around 57.
Forecasters say temperatures will continue to trend cooler heading into Friday and the weekend. Juneteenth is expected to be mostly sunny with a high near 84, while Friday night will be partly cloudy with a low around 53.
Even with the cooler trend, fire weather remains something to watch. The National Weather Service says dry and unstable conditions are expected Thursday as a thermal trough moves inland. A thunderstorm pattern is also expected to develop Thursday through Saturday, with the best chances on Friday and mainly focused across northern California and east of the Cascades.
For Roseburg, the main takeaway is a welcome cooldown from the recent heat, with warm afternoons, cooler nights and some fire weather concerns still in the mix.
