Reedsport Forfeits Homecoming Football Game Against Camas Valley
Reedsport Community Charter School will forfeit its homecoming football game against Camas Valley because too few healthy players are available. The school said student-athlete safety comes first and will continue evaluating the program.
REEDSPORT, Ore. - Reedsport Community Charter School’s football team will forfeit this week’s homecoming game against Camas Valley because it does not have enough healthy players available, the school announced.

The decision comes during homecoming week, when students and families would ordinarily gather to cheer on the team. In its announcement, the school said the health and safety of its student-athletes must come first.
“This is never an easy decision, especially during Homecoming Week,” the school wrote.
School officials said they will continue evaluating the football program and make decisions about its future based on players’ health, safety, and well-being. The announcement did not specify how many players are unavailable or whether additional games will be affected.
The school thanked students, families, fans, and the community for their support and understanding.
