Free Young Eagles Flights, Pancake Breakfast Set For Saturday At Myrtle Creek Airport

Free Young Eagles Flights, Pancake Breakfast Set For Saturday At Myrtle Creek Airport

MYRTLE CREEK, Ore. — Kids ages 8 to 17 will have a chance to take to the skies Saturday morning during a Young Eagles Rally hosted by Roseburg EAA Chapter 495 at the Myrtle Creek Municipal Airport.

The event is scheduled for Saturday, May 2, 2026, from 8 a.m. to 11 a.m., weather permitting. A rain date is set for Saturday, May 9, 2026.

The rally will include free airplane orientation flights for children ages 8 to 17 through the Experimental Aircraft Association’s Young Eagles program. Parent or legal guardian approval and a signature are required before a child can fly.

Organizers said flights are limited and available on a first-come, first-served basis. Families are encouraged to register ahead of time using the QR code on the event flyer or through the EAA Young Eagles registration page to reserve a flight slot.

A pancake breakfast and fly-in will also be held during the event. Breakfast is $5, cash only.
