Autism Awareness Walk Draws Crowd in Roseburg Amid Fremont Middle School Case
Roseburg community members gathered Sunday for an Autism Awareness Solidarity Walk for Justice, marching from Fir Grove Park to Fremont Middle School after the arrests of three school employees tied to the Developmental Learning Center.
Man Arrested After Reported Stick Assault At Stewart Park
Man arrested after police said a man sleeping under the Stewart Park pavilion was struck in the head with a large stick. Officers reported the victim suffered a laceration and was transported to Mercy Medical Center. The suspect fled, was tased and lodged at corrections.

Roseburg police reported arrests and citations Feb. 27–Mar. 2, including multiple DUII arrests, a Stewart Park assault, theft and trespass cases, warrants, and probation/parole violations, according to City of Roseburg Police Logs.
Man Presumed Drowned After Being Swept Downstream In South Umpqua River
Man presumed drowned after a reported river rescue Friday morning on the South Umpqua River near Portland Avenue. Call came in about 7:23 a.m. Deputies and partner agencies searched for hours. Additional search efforts will continue.
