12-Year-Old Lodged at Juvenile Detention Following Reported Domestic Assault in Roseburg
A 12-year-old Roseburg boy was lodged at Douglas County Juvenile Detention after police said he admitted to choking and punching his mother during a reported domestic assault on Northeast Stephens Street.
ROSEBURG, Ore. - A 12-year-old boy was taken to juvenile detention Tuesday afternoon following a reported domestic assault at a home on Northeast Stephens Street.
Roseburg Police officers responded to the 2000 block of Northeast Stephens Street at approximately 1:31 p.m. July 21 after a 50-year-old woman reported that her son had choked her and punched her in the face.
According to police, the juvenile admitted to the alleged conduct and was taken into custody.
The boy was lodged at Douglas County Juvenile Detention on allegations of domestic strangulation and harassment.
The allegations have not been proven in court.
