ROSEBURG, Ore. - A malfunctioning time machine and some unexpected visitors from the past will take the stage when Umpqua Actors Community Theatre opens “Time Warped” on Thursday, Oct. 8.
Written and directed by Martin Follose, the comedy runs through Oct. 18 at UACT, 1614 W. Harvard Ave. The show is the theatre’s annual youth production, involving students from throughout Douglas County.
The story follows Professor Quinton Quibble, whose malfunctioning invention brings a pirate, a musketeer, and a princess into his present-day laboratory. Their arrival creates confusion and a dangerous disruption in time, leaving the professor and his assistant facing a problem much larger than a broken machine.
To prevent disaster, the pair must travel into the past and destroy the invention before it can ever be activated.
Performances are scheduled for:
- 7 p.m. Thursday through Saturday, Oct. 8-10 and Oct. 15-17.
- 2 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 11 and Oct. 18.
