Three North Umpqua Trail Sections to Close Oct. 4-7 for Recovery Work
Three sections of the North Umpqua Trail, from Wright Creek Trailhead to Calf Creek Trailhead, will close Oct. 4-7 for trail recovery work. Visitors are asked to recreate elsewhere in the Umpqua National Forest during the closure.
A stretch of the North Umpqua Trail between the Wright Creek and Calf Creek trailheads will be closed Oct. 4 through Oct. 7 while crews carry out trail recovery work, according to the Umpqua National Forest.
The closure covers three consecutive sections:
- Mott: Wright Creek Trailhead to Mott Trailhead
- Panther: Mott Trailhead to Panther Trailhead
- Calf: Panther Trailhead to Calf Creek Trailhead
The Forest Service asks visitors to choose another area of the forest for recreation during those four days. Other options can be found on the Umpqua National Forest recreation page.
