Road Conditions

Work resumes Feb. 23 on a Roseburg water main upgrade along SE Pine Street between Oak and Sykes. Crews will replace aging pipe, install hydrants and update service lines. One lane will be closed during weekday work hours, with construction expected to continue into early summer.

Emergency sewer work in Winston will begin Feb. 23, restricting access near Bi-Mart and NW Cary Street. Detours will route traffic to NW Civil Bend Avenue and NW Brantley Drive. The project will replace about 310 feet of sewer main and is expected to last roughly two weeks.

Drivers traveling north or toward the Oregon coast should be aware that OR 229 in Lincoln County is closed between Kernville and Siletz due to a landslide that removed part of the roadway. No detour is available and the closure is expected to be long term.

ODOT plans to activate the new Oregon 42 traffic signal at Rolling Hills Road by Wednesday night. Lane closures continue as crews finish installation. The signal is part of an $11.97M safety and paving project, with more median improvements coming in the weeks ahead.
