Riddle man Damien Tobias Saltzman, 45, was jailed after deputies reported a late-night crash on Boyer Road, a short vehicle pursuit, and a collision with a sheriff’s vehicle. No injuries were reported. Charges include DUII and felony attempting to elude.

Roseburg police arrested Alan Daniel Hubschman, 34, after officers reported he stole a loaded firearm from a vehicle at Waldron’s. Police said he was located in a tent on a walking bridge and the firearm was recovered.

Roseburg police arrested a 32-year-old man after officers reported he pointed a BB gun at a woman, demanded her wallet, and later contacted her about the case. He was lodged at Douglas County Corrections on robbery, weapon, and witness tampering charges.

Winston Police arrested 21-year-old Lucas Brent Carr of Roseburg on 60 charges of encouraging child sex abuse in the first degree. Police said the case began July 16, 2025, after a tip from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children. Carr is held without bail.

Roseburg police cited a 56 year old man after finding a fire burning inside a tent at a Deer Creek Park campsite. Officers also located a machete at the scene. The man was cited for prohibited burning and possessing prohibited weapons on city property.

A 33 year old Roseburg man was arrested after police say he displayed a knife and demanded money from an employee at a Del Taco, later claiming he was joking. The employee asked him to leave, and officers later arrested the man, who also admitted to an earlier theft.
