Summer Arts Festival Returns To Fir Grove Park This Weekend

ROSEBURG, Ore. - One of Roseburg’s long-running summer traditions returns this weekend as the Summer Arts Festival brings three days of art, food, music and family activities to Fir Grove Park.

Hosted by Umpqua Valley Arts, the festival is scheduled for Friday, June 26, through Sunday, June 28. The annual event has been part of the Roseburg summer season for more than 50 years, drawing artists, entertainers, vendors, families and visitors to the park during the final weekend of June.

This year’s festival will feature more than 100 local and regional artist vendors, offering handmade work across a variety of mediums. Visitors can expect booths filled with original art, handcrafted goods and creative pieces from artists throughout the region.

The festival is also designed to be family friendly, with a Youth Zone offering hands-on art activities and STEAM experiences for children and families. Young creators will also be represented through an Emerging Artist Vendor tent, giving local youth a chance to sell and share their own work.

Live music, dance and entertainment will take place throughout the weekend on two stages. The festival will also include artist demonstrations, interactive art experiences and a food court featuring regional food and beverage vendors.

For many in Douglas County, the Summer Arts Festival is more than a place to shop for art. It is a community gathering that brings people together in the shade of Fir Grove Park at the start of the summer season. Visitors can walk the booths, meet local artists, grab food, listen to live music and spend time with friends and family.

Festival hours are 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. Friday and Saturday, and 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Sunday. Artist vendor booths will remain open until 8 p.m. Friday and Saturday, while the food court will be open until 9 p.m.

Admission is $5 per person, and children ages 8 and under get in free.

Proceeds from the Summer Arts Festival support Umpqua Valley Arts and its year-round work to provide arts, cultural experiences and education opportunities in rural Oregon.
