Section of Old Melrose Road to Close Thursday for Underground Work

Old Melrose Road will close to through traffic just north of West Goedeck Avenue from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 1, for underground bypass work. Residents will retain access to their properties.

ROSEBURG, Ore. - A section of Old Melrose Road will be closed to through traffic from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 1, while Allied Trenchless installs an underground bypass.

The closure will affect Old Melrose Road immediately north of West Goedeck Avenue, heading toward Harvard Avenue. Detour signs will be posted, and residents will still be able to access their properties.

The City of Roseburg asks drivers to allow extra travel time and use caution around crews and equipment.
