Sawdust Jubilee Brings “Small Town, Big Blast” Celebration To Riddle Saturday
Riddle’s Sawdust Jubilee returns Saturday, June 27, with a full day of volleyball, breakfast, food vendors, the Chamber Parade, car show, log truck show, kids activities, live music and fireworks.
RIDDLE, Ore. - Riddle’s beginning-of-summer celebration returns Saturday, June 27, as Sawdust Jubilee brings a full day of food, music, family activities, local traditions and fireworks to town.
This year’s theme is “Small Town, Big Blast,” and the schedule lives up to the name. From early-morning volleyball and a community breakfast to the Chamber Parade, car show, log truck show, live music and fireworks, the annual event is set to keep Main Street and several nearby locations busy throughout the day.
Sawdust Jubilee is held annually on the last Saturday in June and has become one of Riddle’s signature summer gatherings, bringing together residents, alumni, families, vendors and visitors for a day rooted in small-town pride.
Morning Events
The day begins early with the Irish Classic Grass Volleyball event at the Riddle football field. Sign-ups begin at 7 a.m., with the first serve scheduled for 8 a.m.
First Baptist of Riddle will host a community breakfast from 8 to 10 a.m., followed by the Oregon Traveling Memorial Wall opening ceremony at 8:45 a.m. on Main Street. The Little Mr. and Miss Firecracker Contest is scheduled for 9 a.m.
Food trucks and booths are set to open at 10 a.m. along Main Street.

Parade, Cars And Afternoon Activities
The Chamber Parade is scheduled for 11 a.m. at the town square, followed by a full afternoon of events around Riddle.
The car show will run from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. at Riddle Junior/Senior High School. A log truck show, hosted by S.A. Schuyler & Sons, is scheduled from noon to 2 p.m. near 2nd and D streets.
Other afternoon events include:
- Umpqua Athletics Cheer performance at 11:30 a.m.
- Armwrestling tournament at 12:15 p.m.
- Goat pen at 1 p.m.
- Needle-felting table at 2 p.m.
- Cribbage tournament from 2 to 4 p.m.
- Cookie walk from 2:10 to 2:30 p.m.
- A Chance to Dance performance at 2:30 p.m.
- All School Reunion from 3 to 5 p.m. at the Riddle Community Center
Free Water Slide
One of the biggest kid-friendly attractions of the day will be the Pineapple Express Water Slide, scheduled after the parade until 9 p.m. at the Riddle football field.
The water slide is listed as free.
Evening Music And Fireworks
Main Street music is scheduled from 5 to 10 p.m., with performances by:
- Front Porch Pickers
- SRB
- Eddy Ross
The celebration will close with fireworks at 10 p.m. The show is scheduled to be shot from Green Diamond Performance Materials.
