Saving Grace Humane Society To Host Barks & Recreation At Stewart Park
Saving Grace Humane Society will host Barks & Recreation on Saturday, May 16, at Stewart Park, featuring vendors, food trucks, dog contests, low-cost microchips and vaccines, and family-friendly activities supporting shelter pets.
ROSEBURG, Ore. — Saving Grace Humane Society will host its annual Barks & Recreation event Saturday, May 16, at Stewart Park near the Half Shell.
The dog-friendly community celebration will run from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. and is open to all ages. Organizers describe the event as a way to celebrate the human-animal bond, enjoy time outdoors with local pets and families, and support animals at Saving Grace Humane Society.
Barks & Recreation typically brings together about 500 to 600 people and pups for an afternoon in the park. The event will feature pet- and family-friendly vendors, food trucks, a beer and wine garden, dog contests, activities, raffles, event bags, and more.
Low-cost dog microchips and vaccines will also be available during the event.
Saving Grace alumni are invited to take part in an alumni parade, giving families a chance to celebrate dogs adopted through the organization.
