Roseburg Man Arrested Following Winston Sexual Solicitation Investigation
A Roseburg man was arrested Monday after Winston police said he offered to pay for sexual acts during an online undercover investigation.
WINSTON, Ore - A Roseburg man was arrested Monday following a sexual solicitation investigation conducted by the Winston Police Department.
According to a release from the department, officers concluded the investigation on June 29, 2026, with the arrest of 62-year-old Gary Beebe of Roseburg.
Police said Beebe initiated online contact with an undercover officer who was posing as a 30-year-old adult female. During the investigation, Beebe allegedly offered to pay $100 in exchange for sexual acts, negotiated the terms of the encounter and arranged to meet.
Beebe was taken into custody without incident when he arrived for the arranged meeting.
The Winston Police Department said the case was part of its ongoing effort to proactively investigate crimes involving exploitation.
Beebe was lodged at the Douglas County Jail on a charge of prostitution.
