Roseburg Library Plans Fall Programs for Adults With Disabilities

Roseburg Public Library will offer several free programs this fall, including an author presentation, movie and snack events, and a performance by Rhys Thomas of JuggleMania.

ROSEBURG, Ore. - Roseburg Public Library will offer a series of free activities this fall for adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities.

All programs begin at 11:30 a.m. at the library. Caregivers are welcome to attend.

The fall schedule begins Thursday, Sept. 10, with bingo and prizes. Additional programs include movie and snack events Thursday, Sept. 24, and Thursday, Oct. 22.

On Thursday, Oct. 8, Jessica from Create and Sip Studio will lead participants through a pumpkin-themed painting project. Registration is requested for the class.

The series will conclude Thursday, Nov. 12, with a performance by Rhys Thomas of JuggleMania.

The programs are supported through a grant from Libraries Transforming Communities: Accessible Small and Rural Communities. The Roseburg library was selected for the fourth round of the initiative, which helps small and rural libraries improve accessibility and better serve people with disabilities.

The initiative is offered by the American Library Association in partnership with the Association for Rural and Small Libraries.
