Roseburg’s Homeless Commission is pausing meetings until Jan. 4, 2027, while seeking guidance from the incoming mayor and city manager on its future priorities.
ROSEBURG, Ore. - Roseburg’s Homeless Commission is seeking guidance on its future priorities from the city’s incoming mayor and city manager, with meetings on hold until January.
The commission’s next meeting is scheduled for Jan. 4, 2027. According to a city staff summary described in the report, members requested direction from the incoming leadership about where to focus their work.
The pause follows the commission’s Monday, Oct. 5 meeting, which included discussion of local services and a look at homelessness response efforts in Grants Pass.
Jeremy and Hollie Grammon presented information about the Dream Center’s work and its impact in the community. Their presentation also covered the Dream Again Village logic model, a framework outlining the program’s approach and intended outcomes.
Commission members reviewed the Homeless Services Resource Directory and offered feedback. They also heard a presentation about how Grants Pass is addressing homelessness, including its shelter and housing initiatives.
The Homeless Commission serves as an advisory body to the Roseburg City Council. Its responsibilities include researching ways to address the needs of people experiencing homelessness, recommending actions to councilors, and considering input from residents and businesses. The commission also reviews agreements and working relationships with agencies providing services to the unhoused population.
More information is available on the City of Roseburg’s Homeless Commission page. The latest video of the meeting can be found here.
