Prescribed Burn Scheduled Wednesday Evening in Melqua Area
A small permitted prescribed burn is scheduled to begin at 5:30 p.m. Wednesday in the 2800 block of Melqua Road. Smoke may be visible from Roseburg, Interstate 5 and the Melrose area until approximately 7 p.m.
MELROSE, Ore. - Smoke may be visible from parts of the Roseburg and Melrose areas Wednesday evening as crews conduct a small prescribed burn.
The burn is scheduled to begin at approximately 5:30 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 9, in the 2800 block of Melqua Road. Smoke may be visible from Roseburg, Interstate 5 and the surrounding Melrose area.
Officials expect the parcel to be cleared of smoke by approximately 7 p.m.
The burn is being conducted under an approved permit. Prescribed burn schedules may change depending on weather and site conditions.
Additional prescribed burning is expected Thursday, with scheduling information to be released separately.
