Poole Creek Campground to Close September 7 for Construction Improvements

Poole Creek Campground will close September 7 for construction and remain closed until summer 2027. Improvements will include upgraded campsite parking, new asphalt and roadwork, and refurbishment of the parking lot near the Poole Creek Boat Ramp.

Poole Creek Campground to Close September 7 for Construction Improvements

Poole Creek Campground will close to the public at 11 a.m. Monday, September 7, as construction begins on improvements to the campground and surrounding facilities.

The campground is expected to remain closed until the summer 2027 season. The project is being completed in collaboration with PacifiCorp and is intended to improve campground infrastructure and visitor access.

Planned work includes:

  • Improving parking at lakeside campsites to better accommodate modern camping equipment.
  • Installing new asphalt and completing subgrade improvements along the campground loop road.
  • Refurbishing the parking lot near the Poole Creek Boat Ramp.

Visitors are asked to stay out of all closed and active construction areas. Heavy equipment, trucks, excavation work, uneven surfaces and loud construction activity will be present.

People should not walk or drive through construction zones or approach operating equipment. Visitors should obey all barricades, posted signs and directions from construction personnel.
