Woman cited after two young children reportedly left unattended in vehicle

Details: Officers responded to the 600 block of SE Jackson Street for a report of two unattended children in a vehicle. Police said Daughtery left the children, ages 3 and 2, unattended for approximately 42 minutes. The vehicle was off, its windows were rolled up and there was no clear line of sight from where she had been, according to police. Child Welfare was notified.

Details: Officers responded to the 500 block of NE Stephens Street after several 911 calls reported that Snodgrass and a woman were fighting near several businesses. Witnesses reported seeing Snodgrass push and possibly strangle the woman, according to police. Officers were unable to locate her. Police said Snodgrass admitted to fighting with his girlfriend and was detained without incident.

Rocky Daniel Kerns, 40, arrested after reported fight near Mercy

Details: Officers contacted Kerns after he was reported to be fighting with another man outside Mercy Medical Center. Police said Kerns possessed a firearm and reportedly racked it during the incident. Kerns left as officers arrived but was stopped in the next parking lot, where police conducted a high-risk stop and took him into custody without further incident. Police said Kerns was intoxicated. Officers seized the firearm and reported finding a spring-loaded knife in his pocket. Kerns requested an attorney during the investigation, and police obtained a search warrant for a breath sample. The registered owner took possession of the vehicle.

Misty Dawn Porter, 45, arrested in menacing case
