Details: Officers responded to a reported vehicle theft and identified Kerns as the suspect. Police said Oregon State Police located the vehicle a short time later and detained Kerns. Police said the vehicle sustained heavy damage while Kerns was in possession of it.
Disposition: Kerns was lodged at Douglas County Corrections. The vehicle was towed from the scene.
