Police said James was taken into custody without issue and urinated in the backseat of a patrol car while en route to the jail. His parole officer was contacted and a detainer was issued. Police said Yula Strader was also found on scene and was cited and released. Police said it was determined Yula did not make the mess but was camped among it. Both were issued their first city exclusion warnings.

A few hours later, police said Chelsea returned to David's apartment and started another disturbance. She said she did not have enough gas to return to Reedsport. Her mother sent gas money, and she agreed to drive home to Reedsport.

Details: Officers responded to Sterling Drive regarding an unknown male attempting to access two vehicles, a 2025 Subaru Forester and a 2014 Ford Fusion, but being unable to do so. Police said the vehicle owner then observed the male enter a 2018 Ram 1500 that belonged to neighbors. Officers reviewed video footage and noted the male's clothing. Later in the day, officers located Artherholt walking on Northwest Garden Valley Boulevard near I-5 wearing the same clothing. Police said Artherholt admitted attempting to access the Subaru and Ford and admitted accessing the Ram, where he stole 75 cents. His parole officer authorized a detainer for failing to report.
