Warrant Arrest
Ronald Hiner, 45, was lodged after police said he was contacted at SE Pine Street and found to have a warrant

Details: Officers contacted Coles at Fred Meyer in Roseburg. Police said officers had previous knowledge that Coles was the suspect in a recent theft. Police said Coles admitted to the theft and was placed under arrest without incident.

Assault
Tyler Rethwill, 39, was lodged after police said a domestic disturbance investigation showed he strangled and assaulted a woman

Details: Officers responded to 701 NW Woodwillow Drive regarding a domestic disturbance. Police said the investigation showed Rethwill strangled Davison and later threw her to the ground. Both subjects sustained injuries during the disturbance and were treated at Mercy. Police said Rethwill was identified as the aggressor and was taken into custody.
Disposition: Rethwill was lodged at corrections.
Disorderly Conduct
Lisa Marie Gates, 36, was lodged after police said a reported shooting call led officers to find her on top of a building screaming

Details: Officers responded to the location for a reported shooting. Police said officers arrived and observed Gates on top of the building screaming. Continued reports indicated Gates was saying there was a bomb in the building and that gas had been turned on by a male with the intent to blow up the building. Police said Gates was detained, was erratic and appeared to be under the influence. Officers spoke with witnesses who said they saw Gates in the hall yelling and mentioning a bomb.
Disposition: Gates was lodged at corrections.
Weapon Violation
Melyn Loretta Smith, 61, was cited after police said she falsely stated she had not been convicted of a felony while applying to purchase a firearm

Details: Police said officers received a firearm transaction denial from Coastal on April 27, 2026, showing that Smith had applied to purchase a firearm. On the application, police said Smith stated that she had not been convicted of a felony, even though she had been convicted of one in 1993. Police said Smith admitted to the attempt.
Disposition: Smith was cited and released.
Parole Violation
Jolene Renae Schumacher, 39, was lodged after police said she was wanted by her parole officer and initially hid in a bathroom

Details: Officers contacted Schumacher at the Fox Den, believing she was wanted by her parole officer. Police said Schumacher initially hid in the bathroom at the location but eventually came out to officers. Schumacher was detained without incident, and a detainer was authorized by a parole officer.
