Details: Officers were contacted by Ronald’s parole officer after he had been arrested the previous day and was found to be in possession of a dagger, which police said was a restricted weapon Ronald was prohibited from having due to being a felon. The dagger was seized and Ronald, who was already lodged at Corrections, was lodged on the listed charge.

Details: Officers responded to DHS after they received a report of a female who intentionally crashed her vehicle into the building. Upon arrival, officers noticed Smith was showing signs of being under the influence of a controlled substance, and she performed poorly on field sobriety tests. She was taken into custody without issue. At the jail she provided a BAC of .00% and provided a urine sample.

Details: Officers responded to the listed location after receiving a report that Melyah’s two-year-old daughter was locked in a bedroom within the apartment and Melyah’s whereabouts were unknown. Officers were able to gain entry into the bedroom, where they found the child in good health and uninjured. After an investigation, officers learned Melyah had locked her daughter in the bedroom the night before and left without returning. A friend had become concerned she had not returned the next morning and reported the incident. Child Welfare services were contacted and took the child into protective custody. Melyah was arrested without incident.

Details: During an investigation into a reported burglary at Renard’s Deli on 6/22/26, Hanlin was developed as the suspect. Officers contacted Hanlin, who admitted to entering the business after hours, stealing multiple items from inside, and damaging an alarm system control panel inside the business. He was taken into custody without incident.

Details: Officers stopped a vehicle and recognized the passenger as Laduke, who they learned had a warrant for his arrest. Dispatch confirmed a valid warrant out of the Oregon State Parole Board for Abscond. Dispatch also confirmed Laduke was a registered sex offender and had not completed his registration within 10 days of his birth date (4/16). Police said Laduke had also been absconding since November of 2025 and failed to update his registration since being released to a transitional placement out of prison.
