Roseburg police reported nine incidents in the latest log, including ordinance violations, trespass cases, assault, parole violations, warrant arrests, and a DUII traffic stop.

Ordinance Violation

Alicia Daun Harmon, 40, was cited after police said officers found a tent and active fire near the South Umpqua River at the frisbee golf course

Details: While checking unlawful camps that had previously been posted for cleanup, officers found a tent set up about 50 feet from the bank of the South Umpqua River. Police said camping is never allowed at that location due to its proximity to the river. The camp also had a fire burning in front of it. Police said Harmon poured the water she had in her camp onto the fire, but it was not enough to put it out. The fire department arrived a short time later and extinguished the fire.
Disposition: Harmon was cited and released on scene for Prohibited Camping and Prohibited Burning.
Trespass

Jay Austin Copenhaver, 60, was lodged after police said he was contacted at the Roseburg Public Library as a city expulsion violator

Details: Officers contacted Copenhaver at the Roseburg Public Library because police said he is a city expulsion violator with three previous warnings and the location is included in the Enhanced Law Enforcement Area. Police said Copenhaver was detained without incident.
Disposition: Copenhaver was lodged at Douglas County Corrections.
Assault

Paula Matthie, 70, was cited after police said hot coffee was thrown on a nurse at Mercy Medical Center

Details: Officers responded to Mercy Medical Center for an assault report. Police said a nurse had hot coffee thrown on their neck and chest while performing care duties. Police said the coffee caused second-degree burns and blistering on the nurse's chest and neck. Matthie was cited and released because police said she was still a patient at the time of the citation.
Disposition: Matthie was cited and released in the hospital.

Michael Lee Hatton, 41, was lodged after police said he was identified as the suspect in a trespass investigation and his parole officer authorized a parole violation charge

Details: Officers contacted Meyer with prior knowledge that he had a warrant for his arrest. Police said Meyer was found to have a usable amount of methamphetamine. The warrant was confirmed through records and Meyer was taken into custody.
Disposition: Meyer was lodged on the warrant and cited for unlawful possession of methamphetamine.

Pamela Ann Tollefson, 78, was lodged after police said officers contacted her at Quality Inn and confirmed a Roseburg Police Department warrant

Details: Police said Logan Ivey was pulled over for a traffic violation. During the traffic stop, officers noticed signs of impairment. Police said Ivey consented to standardized field sobriety tests and performed poorly. He was taken into custody and transported to Corrections, where police said he provided a breath sample. The log listed intoxicants as yes. Police said Sadie Ivey took possession of the vehicle at Logan Ivey's request.
Disposition: Logan Ivey was cited and released to Sadie Ivey from Corrections.

Allan Jack Matthew Hay Chapman, 40, was lodged after police said officers contacted him at a camp in a restricted area and arrested him on a warrant
