Disorderly Conduct

Sherry Amos, 70, was lodged after courthouse employees reported screaming and items being thrown outside the building

Details: Officers responded to the Douglas County Courthouse after several employees reported Amos was screaming outside and disrupting their work. Police said Amos threw an ashtray from the courthouse stairs and scattered papers across the stairway.

Donald Beam, 60, was cited after police said he was found sleeping in a makeshift shelter at Micelli Park with prohibited items

Details: Police contacted Beam while he was sleeping in a sleeping bag inside a makeshift shelter set up in brush along the sandy beach at Micelli Park, where camping is prohibited. Officers also reported finding Beam in possession of a knife and a BB gun, which are prohibited in the city park.

Details: Officers contacted Fraker after police said she crashed her truck in a parking lot while her child was seated in the front. Police reported Fraker was heavily intoxicated and refused to perform standardized field sobriety tests. She was taken to Douglas County Corrections, where police said she provided a breath sample over the legal limit. Fraker was medically cleared at Mercy Medical Center before being lodged. Her husband later arrived and took custody of the child and vehicle.

Harassment

Autumn Smith, 32, was lodged after two people reported being struck during separate encounters near Southeast Pine Street

Details: Officers responded to a reported disturbance. Yates told police Smith struck her after an argument. Police said Smith then went to a nearby parking lot and stood in front of Sturgill. After Sturgill asked her to move, Smith allegedly struck him in the head.

Debra Sorenson, 66, was lodged after a traffic stop near Harvard Avenue and Interstate 5 led to a DUII investigation

Details: Officers stopped Sorenson after observing multiple traffic violations. Police said officers noticed signs of impairment and took Sorenson into custody. At corrections, she declined to perform field sobriety tests. Police obtained a warrant signed by a judge, and Sorenson provided a breath sample after the warrant was served.
