Details: Officers contacted Shurtz due to a report of a transient male sleeping in front of a business. Police said they learned Shurtz was a registered sex offender and had not updated his registered address within 10 days of moving. Officers confirmed Shurtz had not stayed at his registered address since 10/03/2025. His parole officer authorized a detainer for the new crime, and Shurtz was placed under arrest without incident.
