Details: Officers contacted a male who reported he was assaulted by an unknown male at Stewart Park. The male advised he was sleeping underneath the pavilion when an unknown subject, later identified as Daniel Calvert III, began to scream at him. The male asked Daniel to stop screaming, which upset Daniel. Daniel then struck the male in the head with a large stick. The male sustained a laceration to his head and was later transported to Mercy Medical Center. Officers then drove to Stewart Park and located Daniel underneath the pavilion. Daniel refused to cooperate with officers and started to run. He ultimately grabbed a 3-foot stick and covered himself with a blanket to prevent himself from being tased. After a few minutes of talking with Daniel, he dropped the stick and started to run from the officers again. Daniel was subsequently tased and detained in handcuffs. Medical arrived and cleared Daniel from needing further medical attention.
Disposition: Daniel was lodged at corrections.

Details: Officers responded to the location after Kachmer reportedly grabbed a Dollar General employee before leaving the location. Officers contacted Kachmer a short distance away from the business. During the contact officers discovered Kachmer had the above-mentioned warrant for his arrest, and he was taken into custody without incident. After an investigation, officers determined that Kachmer had stolen a six pack of beer from Dollar General on 02/25/2026 and returned to the business on 02/27/2026. The employee recognized Kachmer from store video footage and told him to leave the business. Kachmer was captured on video arguing with the employee before grabbing him. Kachmer was transported to Douglas County Corrections where he was booked and lodged.

Details: Officers contacted Mark at the mentioned location after observing him with an open beer. Officers knew that as a stipulation to his parole, he was not to have any intoxicating substances. Mark was placed under arrest after getting a detainer from his parole officer. During that time, officers also found that the bag had methamphetamine in it. Mark was transported to Douglas County Corrections, where he was lodged for the parole violation and cited for the Unlawful Possession of Methamphetamine.

Bray was taken into custody without issue, and his vehicle was allowed to be left on scene by the business.

Details: Officer stopped Samuel after he ran a red light and nearly collided into the officer's patrol car. The officer initiated a traffic stop and Samuel drifted onto the fog line and then near the white striped line before driving over the corner of the sidewalk before coming to a stop on NE Wright. During the stop, the officer saw Samuel had two passengers inside the vehicle. The officer saw numerous signs of impairment with Samuel and he admitted to drinking alcoholic beverages. He agreed to field sobriety tests but was too intoxicated to do them. As officers were placing Samuel into handcuffs, he began to tense his arms and throwing his body around. He was taken onto the ground and then once he was stood up, he wrapped his legs around an officer's legs and tried to trip him onto the ground. Samuel was transported to Douglas County Corrections. A search warrant was authored and granted, and a blood sample was obtained.
