Anthony Michael Guiterrez, 34, and Deanna Lynn Boyer, 43, contacted at a camp along the riverbank near NW Highland; officers reported trash spread across the camp within 100 yards of the river, and Guiterrez was cited on a misdemeanor prohibited-camping charge due to prior convictions

Details: Officers contacted Guiterrez and Boyer at the camp which was set up along the riverbank. The camp consisted of a large tent surrounded by various personal items. There were large amounts of trash and rubbish spread out across the camp which was less than 100 yards from the river. Guitterez had four prior convictions for prohibited camping, and he was cited and released without incident. Boyer had no previous convictions for prohibited camping, and she was cited and released without incident.
Disposition: Guitterez and Boyer were cited and released without incident.

Michael Chad Rushing, 52, arrested at Grocery Outlet on NW Garden Valley Boulevard after loss prevention reported he stole $3.99 in merchandise; officers said his parole officer authorized a detainer and he was booked and lodged at corrections

Details: Officers contacted Rushing after he was detained by loss prevention employees at Grocery Outlet for stealing $3.99 in merchandise. Rushing’s PO was contacted and a detainer was authorized. Rushing was taken into custody without incident and transported to Douglas County Corrections where he was booked and lodged.

Candace Michelle Mock, 36, cited in the 700 block of NE Jackson Street after neighbors complained about early-morning noise; officers said she had multiple chickens and a rooster without city approval

Charles William Schweitzer, 56, arrested after a traffic stop at SE Main Street and SE Hawthorne Drive; officers said he failed to stop when leaving a driveway, showed signs of impairment, later provided a 0.00% breath sample, provided a urine sample, and was found with 4.8 grams of methamphetamine

Details: Charles failed to stop when leaving a driveway and officers conducted a traffic stop. During the traffic stop officers noticed signs of impairment. Charles consented to SFST's and performed poorly. Charles was taken into custody and transported to Corrections where he provided a breath sample of 0.00%. The BAC was inconsistent with the officer’s level of impairment observed, so Charles provided a urine sample. Charles was also in possession of 4.8 grams of methamphetamine. .

Jason Kanoa Rust, 52, arrested after a stop at W Harvard and W Madrone; officers said he was stopped for traffic violations, admitted to drinking an alcoholic beverage, performed poorly on field sobriety tests, and was taken to corrections before being cited and released
