Overnight I-5 Ramp Closures Scheduled Near Oakland Through Thursday
Overnight maintenance work will close I-5 ramps at Exits 140 and 142 near Oakland in stages through Thursday morning. The southbound Exit 140 off-ramp closes Tuesday night before work moves to the northbound Exit 142 ramps Wednesday night.
OAKLAND, Ore. - Overnight maintenance work will close several Interstate 5 ramps near Oakland through Thursday morning, according to the Oregon Department of Transportation.
The southbound Exit 140 off-ramp to Old Highway 99 will remain closed from 6 p.m. Tuesday until 7 a.m. Wednesday, Sept. 16. This is the final scheduled overnight closure at Exit 140.
Work will then move to Exit 142. The northbound I-5 on-ramp and off-ramp serving Metz Hill Road will close from 6 p.m. Wednesday until 7 a.m. Thursday, Sept. 17.
The closures apply only to the affected ramps. ODOT lists no to minimal delays for traffic traveling through the work areas, but drivers should slow down and watch for crews.
Motor carriers may use Exit 135 or Exit 146, depending on their direction of travel, or another authorized alternate route while the ramps are closed.
Travelers can check current road and closure information through TripCheck. The project report can be found here.
