ROSEBURG, Ore. — Music on the Half Shell returns next week for its 34th season, bringing free Tuesday night concerts back to the Nichols Band Shell at Stewart Park.

The 2026 season opens Tuesday, June 23, with John Jorgenson Bluegrass Band. The concert runs from 7 to 9 p.m. along the Umpqua River.

Jorgenson is a two-time Academy of Country Music “Guitarist of the Year” winner with a long career that includes six years touring with Elton John and collaborations with artists including Sting and Billy Joel. His music has crossed several styles over the years, including bluegrass, roots, world music and more.

Music on the Half Shell was founded in 1992 and has grown into one of Roseburg’s best-known summer traditions. The concerts are free, family friendly and held on Tuesday evenings through Aug. 11.

Organizers encourage people to bring a blanket, dinner and drinks, and enjoy the music from the grass at Stewart Park.
